BLAZING LIGHT PUJA

1) The radiant Guru

Padmasambhava of blazing light,
Padmasambhava of radiant appearance,
Padmasambhava of luminous vision.

Padmasambhava of blazing light,
Revealing jewels and treasures in our struggles.

Padmasambhava of blazing light,
Revealing the truth in each changing moment.

Padmasambhava of blazing light,
Revealing the heart of compassion in every action.
Padmasambhava!
Yogi-magician,
Moving between worlds.

Padmasambhava!
Vision seeker,
Finding the ways to freedom,

Padmasambhava!
Compassionate master,
Revealing the inner path.

Padmasambhava!
Mystic yogi,
Burning in the fires of transformation.

Padmasambhava!
Alchemist,
In the cauldron of the heart.

Padmasambhava!
Shaman,
Beating the drum of awakening.

Padmasambhava!

A blazing light,

On the primal plain.

Blazing light,
Before the first stars.

Blazing light,
Life giving sun.

Blazing light,
Tide turning moon.

Blazing light,
Traveller of time.

Blazing light,
Shape shifter.

Blazing light,
Rainbow bodied.

Blazing light,
Seasons turning.

Blazing light,
Darkness of night.

Blazing light,
Midnight’s sun.

Blazing light,
Otherworld journey.

Blazing light,
Chaos and death.

Blazing light,
Of cremation fires.

Blazing light,
Of undying awareness.

2) Touching the Body of Enlightenment

Padmasambhava!
Ancient ancestor,

The keen eyed hawk hovers,
In the deep blue skies.

The salmon of wisdom swims,
In the dazzling diamond river.

The black crow calls,
Shadow on the face of light.

The birds flock and gather,
Swirling patterns as moving as one.

The stream ripples in shimmering light,
The still pool mirrors the sky,
The rocks whisper in sunlight,
The moon climbs over the silver hills,
The golden harvest fills the field,
The crimson flower wavers in the breeze.

Padmasambhava,
In our hearts,
In the land,
Body of awakening
Inseparable.
OM AH HUM

Padmasambhava!

Master who is here and gone,
Illuminating everything as it arises and passes.

The impermanent, inconceivable, wonderful,
Flow of experience.

Before you I stand
Alive,
Aware,

And you are here,
In each moment,
With me always,
Padmasambhava!

OM AH HUM (slow)

Om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum
The dragon holds the jewel,

Om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum
Demons hold the energy,

Om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum
Obstacles hold the path to our freedom,

Om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum
Sensations are the pathways of inner wisdom.

Breathing in Om
My body is purified.

Holding the breath within Ah
My speech is purified.

Breathing out Hum
My mind is purified.

Body, speech and mind,
All qualities and acts,
Purifed by the awareness of emptiness.

Om ah hum,
Blazing light.

Om ah hum,

Fierce light,

Om ah hum,

Light of fire.

Om ah hum,

Fire of change.

Om ah hum,

Path of love.

Om ah hum,

Inner heat rises.

Om ah hum,

Inner fire grows.

Om ah hum,

Melting hardness.

Om ah hum,

Loosening grasping.

Om ah hum,

Everything flows.

3) The Guru comes

Guru,

No growth without change,
No life without death,
No progress without obstacles!

Holding the vajra to our hearts!
Holding everything there in our hearts!
Dark and light both,

Our sorrow and joy,
Fear and strength,
Agitation and calm,

Pleasure and pain.
Happy and sad.
Everything there,

In the dance without centre,
Embodying all experiences,
Everything naturally self liberated.
Radiant Buddha Padma!

He will come,
Two ravens at his shoulders
He will come,

Two wolves at his side.
He will come,

One vulture circling overhead.
He will come,

An eagle before the sun
He will come,

A serpent in the lake
He will come,

A tiger in the forest.
A god before the mountain

A shadow in the cave.
Mysterious guru Padma!

He comes,
Drinking from the skull.

He comes,
Staff rooted deep.

He comes,
Drum beating,

He comes,
Flames leaping.

He comes
Rainbow lights circling.

Fearless Yogi Padma!

Coming,
Out of death.

Coming,
Out of barren wastes

Coming,
Thunder crashing.

Coming,
The waters flowing.

Coming,
New life growing.

Coming,
Awakening unfolding,

Coming,
Joyful laughter ringing.

Dynamic knowledge holder Padma!

Dawn rising clear,
Mind expanded,
Face glowing in the fires,
Master of ecstasy,
Bringing release,
He comes!

Om ah hum vajra guru padma siddhi hum

4) The compassionate Guru

Out of fear,
He brings courage.

Out of madness,
He brings peace.

Out of hate,
He brings love.

Out of separation,
He brings wholeness.

Guru,
Going into darkness,
Going into fear,
Going into change,
Going into loss and grief,
Going beyond what is known,
Going beyond what is safe,
Going into that great space of freedom.

AH x3

With the Guru,

Secret thoughts revealed,
Let go.

Clinging to our selves,
Let go.

Nothing to possess,
Let go.

Breath of body free,
Let go.

Looking into that mirror,
Let go.

Sensing pain,
Let go.

Sensing pleasure,
Let go! Let go! Let go!

5) The dance of the great yogi

Padmasambhava!
Yogi standing naked before the universe,

Yogi who stands everywhere,
Infinitely expanded.

Padmasambhava!

Guru within,
Guru without,
No separation,

Guru within,
Awakens.

Guru without,
Guides.

Dakini!
Sky dancer,

Dakini within,
Sings,

Dakini without,
Dances.

No separation,

Guru Dakini of my heart,
Speak!

Guru Dakini of my mind,
Sing!

Guru Dakini of my actions,
Dance!

Hrih Guru Padma Vajra Ah

Into the space of freedom,
I dance!

Naked before the ocean,
I dance!

Joyful in the Dharma,
I dance!

Steady, confident, serene,
I dance!

Vital, dynamic, bold,
I dance!

Open, spacious, liberated,
I dance!

Dance,
Dancer of Dharma,

Dance,
Clothed in light.

Dance,
Calling out your names.

Dance,
Moving in emptiness.

Dance,
In vastness of space.

Dance,
Dynamic joy.

Dance,
Energy in space.

Dance,
Drinking a cup of bliss.

Dance the earth,
Dance the sky,

Dance the elements,

Dance the mind.

Dance your magic,
Subduing.
Attracting.
Maturing.
Liberating.

Dance,
Holding everything in your dance,
Everything in your embrace,
Everything in your heart!

Om ah hum maha guru sarva siddhi hum
